In a significant stride towards transforming agriculture in Nigeria, the Progressive Young Farmers Network/Cooperative Society was recently inaugurated by Abdullahi Sabi Aliyu, the Honorable Minister of State for Agriculture, during the APC Progressive Young Leaders Summit organized by the APC National Youth Leader,Dr Dayo Israel. This youth-led initiative aims to revolutionize the agricultural landscape by equipping young farmers with the tools and knowledge necessary to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.
In line with this vision, the Office of the National Youth Leader, in collaboration with Galaxy Inter Link and the Progressive Young Farmers Network, is excited to announce a groundbreaking two-day training session on agribusiness and sustainable agricultural practices. This event, scheduled for Tuesday, September 10 to Wednesday, September 11, 2024, will commence daily at 10:00 AM.
This intensive training program is tailored for young farmers and agriculture enthusiasts eager to revolutionize their farming practices. Participants will gain hands-on experience and insights in three key areas:
• Water Harvesting for Smart Agriculture: Learn cutting-edge water management techniques essential for modern, efficient farming.
• Integrated Farming Systems for Sustainable Agriculture: Explore innovative methods that combine various farming practices to boost productivity and sustainability.
• Modern Farming Techniques for Sustainable and Improved Agriculture: Discover the latest technologies and methods to enhance agricultural output while prioritizing environmental stewardship.
