Hon. Adetoro Baiyewu the Special Adviser to the Chairman on Education and Entertainment collaborates with Project 1000 initiative to empower youths across Surulere through the 2-days intensive training on Waste 2 Wealth.
The training was centered on sensitizing the participants on importance of Upcycling and Recycling basic materials around us, keeping the environment habitable through Upcycling instead of improper disposal.
The training which was declared opened by the Chairman of the Local Government Hon. Sulaimon Bamidele Yusuf, Hon. Fuad Laguda, Hon. Desmond Olushola Elliott, Hon. Shakiru Ajao, Hon. Sheriff Balogun on the 25th of January 2024 came to a exhilarating end yesterday after 48 hours of intensive training.
Speaking with our correspondence the beneficiaries rained encomium on the Special Adviser for giving them such opportunity to benefit from such impactful empowerment. Mrs Zainab said the training have opened her eyes to several opportunities around her and have showed her nothing is a waste not even our old buckets and Tyres. The Instructor and CEO of Green-Matex Mrs Sidiqo appreciates the organizers and encourages them to continue and not stop at the training because it is a win-win for the environment and the people.
