Hon. Makinde Rasheed Lanre Felicitates With Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Hon. Princess Lasbat Mojisola Meranda On Their Emergence As The Speaker/Deputy Speaker Of 10th Lagos State Assembly

The two term member of the Lagos State House of Assembly who represented Ifako-Ijaiye State Constituency 02 at the 8th and 9th Assembly (2015-2023), Hon. Rasheed Lanre Makinde has congratulated the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly representing Agege Constituency 01, Rt. Hon. Dr. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa on the house leadership bestowed on him as the Speaker of the 10th for the third term, which is unprecedented feat that makes him number 1 parliamentarian among equal. This landmark achievement is always reserved for the destiny child such as Mudashiru, meaning - great thinker, idealist and studious, whom you truly are Mr. speaking speaker.

Hon. Makinde equally send his congratulatory message to the Deputy Speaker, representing Apapa Constituency 01, Hon. Princess Lasbat Mojisola Meranda and other principal officers.

In his congratulatory message made available to the pressmen, Hon. Makinde in his words; described the new leadership of the house as best hands that understand the legislative process.

Lagos state has once again set the standard of legislation in Nigeria with high level of professionalism. The synergy with other arms of government as led to the developmental stride being witnessed in the state is as a result of quality leadership being displayed by Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa. This is not surprising as the National Assembly (Senate) bestowed on Lagos State House of Assembly, as best performing House of Assembly in Nigeria, 2018. I am convinced by the unanimous decision made by the elected members to support the re-election of Mr. Speaker to speak again for the 3rd term as the speaker of the 10th Lagos Assembly.

"I am optimistic that the state executive under the leadership of visionary and performing Governor Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu will continue to have a robust working relationship with the legislature for seamless legislation in the implementations of A Greater Lagos Rising Agenda of Mr Sellable.”

Speaking further, Hon. Makinde said that "Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa has distinguished himself as a legislator per excellence who has set the standard for other lawmakers across the country as the immediate past chairman of conference of speakers of States House of Assemblies.

"My prayers and wishes for the speaker are, more divine wisdom, sound health, guidance of God at all times and more harmonious working relationship with the other 39 members of the house and more importantly the Executive and Judiciary arms of government.
