Brand Communicator Appoints Ntia Usukuma New Editor

 

Nigeria’s leading brands, marketing and sustainability publication, Brand Communicator, has appointed renowned brand writer and analyst, Ntia Usukuma, as its new Editor.

The new appointment, seen by some observers as a masterstroke by the management of Awesome Communication, Publishers of multi-award-winning Brand Communicator, is to elevate the depth of the publication and its online platforms to the next level.

In his words, ” Except recent entrants into the industry, we are all aware of his outstanding pioneering efforts in brand journalism and we are all extremely excited to have him as an invaluable member of the team. We know he is coming on board with huge value especially at a time we are planning to expand our frontiers in different directions.”Commenting on the arrival of the new Editor, Publisher of Brand Communicator, Joshua Ajayi says the entire team is excited to have an experienced brand analyst and business journalist like Ntia joining the Brand Communicator family.

Ntia wields over two decades of journalism experience in several capacities spanning various media organizations in Nigeria, including Saturday Guardian, where he handled the Brand Intelligence segment for four years.

He was an editorial board member in the defunct Newstar Newspapers. He also worked briefly as Corporate Affairs Manager of Bemil Security, as well as Content Editor- West Africa of ExperientialNG, and Managing Editor of The Journal.

In his journalism career, Mr. Ntia has interviewed two African Vice-Presidents and a President and has interacted with some Africans listed on the Forbes list of billionaires. Many observers believe such quality professional experiences will facilitate the desired connection that will reinforce Brand Communicator’s capacity to remain a world-class industry resource platform that will serve all industry professionals in Nigeria & West Africa with top-notch content they need to move to a higher level.

In the last 20 years, he has edited three prestigious brand-focused magazines in Nigeria’s media history- Brandfaces, Mileage, and BrandiQ.  He left journalism briefly to pursue some humanitarian projects, but Ntia is now back to what he calls his first love, as the new editor of Brand Communicator.

Ntia holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts (1991) from the University of Uyo.
