..And yet we nailed it again, as we host our second affiliate forum on November 2nd, 2017 at the luxurious Ibis Hotel Ikeja for our formidable Affiliate members. As we expected, the turn up was awesome, energy was positive and the response was quite incredible! Unlike the first forum held on June 21st, 2017 that hosted more of the travel agents, this time around we choose to limit our guest to bloggers, website owners and very few travel agents.
What is Travelstart Affiliate Programme
Travelstart’s Affiliate programme offers
lifestyle bloggers, established travel agencies and aspiring (travel) website
owners the opportunity to sell flight tickets in partnership with Travelstart.
The programme allows our partners to be creative and focus on getting customers
to purchase flight tickets directly from their own website while the affiliate
builds their business and strengthens their brand through the affiliation with
Travelstart. Becoming an affiliate with Travelstart provides website owners
with an opportunity to be their own boss and make more money for their
businesses!
This initiated the Affiliate forum which
was introduced as part of our marketing initiatives to build a strong
relationship with our affiliates while enlightening them on how to make the
best out of their affiliation with travelstart through relevant topics shared
that could help them make more sales on flight booking.
The course of the Day...
Exactly at 10 am, our guest started
arriving and the few selected Travelstart staff at the venue received them
wholeheartedly while ushering them to the registration stand before assigning
them to their respective seat. Thereafter, an opening remark and introduction
to Affiliate Marketing was done by AlimiAzeez, Affiliate Manager, followed by a
thoughtful speech on Travelstart by Philip Åkesson, Country Manager Travelstart
Nigeria.
Philip Akesson described the forum as an
opportunity to have a one-on-one relationship with the Affiliate and sharing
ways to help them earn more commision. He further emphasised that Travelstart
has a brand will continue to grow as the number travel agencies in Nigeria with
the help of the Affiliates.
"As aforementioned in the last forum,
need the expertise and partnership of our Affiliates to penetrate and win in
the Nigerian market,” he said.
Also speaking at the event, the Commercial
Manager, BukkyOlowude discoursed more about the new features and updates on our
website when that would benefit the Affiliates.
Following this, a session on Content
marketing was held with Innocent Uchenna. D, Digital Lead where he explained
more on how to make use of keywords, tags and creating relevant articles that
will create generate more traffic to their website.
In course of the forum, the major areas
focused on were;
- Travelstart Affiliate programme.
- How to attract more customer to your platform.
- How our affiliates (bloggers and website owners) can attract more customers
- How to earn a better commission.
- New updates and Features on Travelstart website.
Finally, we wrapped up the event with a
feedback and interactive session with the affiliates. We were able to note down
their suggestions and feedback. At the long run, we are sure it’s going to
contribute to Travelstart long-term positioning as a market leader.
