Cosolidated Breweries, Tradall launch Bacardi Breezers,As Bacardi BREEZER Penetrates Market To Engage Consumers
Nigeria’s fast-paced ready-to- drink (RTD) market, especially in the alcoholic category, is witnessing a new twist with the launch of Bacardi Breezers, an alcoholic cocktail, which exists in over 100 countries. RTDs are beverages sold in prepared form, ready for consumption and Bacardi Breezers will now join Smirnoff in that category. Taking advantage of the country’s huge market potentials, the Consolidated Breweries, in partnership with Tradall S.A., member of the Bacardi Martini Group, introduced the Bacardi Breezer into the Nigerian market at an elaborate ceremony at Oriental Hotels, Lagos.
Speaking on the product, Tradall’s Country Manager, Mr Femi Olajimbiti, said that the brand’s entry into the Nigerian market is coming at the right time, especially now that the country has established itself as the largest economy on the African continent. Describing the new entrant as the world’s most colourful alcoholic drink, Olajimbiti said that Breezer which was introduced to the global market over 50 years ago, is designed for free spirited Nigerians who enjoy the colourful side of life, adding that the RTD is already enjoyed in over 150 countries across the world.
Three brand ambassadors were also unveiled for Breezer at the event. They include Sean Tizzle, Yemi Alade and Seyi Shay. The country manager said that the brand ambassadors will help to drive excitement and talkability for Breezer among target audience of youth aged between 18 and 24. Brand Manager for Bacardi Breezer, Olugbenga Lawrence, said: “We are thrilled that we can now announce that Breezer has officially landed in Nigeria. Breezer is the perfect drink for all free spirited Nigerians who want to enjoy the colourful side of life.” Lawrence added that “Breezer lives life in colour – and we’re asking Nigerians to show us your passion for life, show us your true colours.”
The latest alcoholic beverage to hit Nigeria was also revealed to hundreds of fun loving Nigerians who won tickets to the unveiling party at the Oriental Hotel on Victoria Island where a whole host of famous faces, including Sean Tizzle, Yemi Alade and Seyi Shay were on the colourful carpet to celebrate its arrival.
Tizzle, said: “The launch party last night was epic! So much colour, so much passion and so much love for Breezer. I’m a fan already and can’t wait to see it all over Nigeria.” Also, Shay said: “Breezer is just great. Not only is it a great tasting, refreshing drink, but it showed us how to throw the best party. I love the watermelon flavour and can’t wait to introduce all my friends to it too.”
There have been some colourful
happenings going on across Lagos since the past few weeks and now we
know why! It was part of events preceding the launch of the US alcoholic
drink, Bacardi BREEZER. The brand was finally launched in Nigerian
market last weekend.
It was unveiled at the ambience hall of
the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, and a whole host of famous faces including
Sean Tizzle, Yemi Alade and Seyi Shay, as brand ambassadors, were on the
colourful carpet to celebrate the arrival of the product.
The product was introduced in the
Nigerian market by Consolidated Breweries in partnership with Tradall
S.A., member of the Bacardi Martini Group. The brand owners, BusinessDay
leant, have made over N150 million investment in plant expansion at
Consolidated Breweries for the production of the drink in Nigeria.
Olugbenga Lawrence, the brand manager,

Also speaking at the unveiling, Tradall’s
country manager, Femi Olajimbiti, said the product entry into the
Nigerian market came at the right time, especially now that Nigeria is
the largest economy in Africa.
Sean Tizzle, who is one of the brand

BREEZER (5% abv) is available in a
ready-to-drink 330ml bottle and is a refreshing blend of Bacardi Rum and
fruit flavour in three delicious varieties – orange, pineapple and
watermelon – RRP N170.
